Nathan Boyd
VMD, Resident in Cardiology
Dr. Boyd received his Bachelor of Science (BS) from Susquehanna University and then went on to complete his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. After graduation, he completed a one-year small animal rotating internship at the University of Minnesota followed by a cardiology specialty internship at Kansas State University. His cardiology interests include pulmonary hypertension, diastolic heart disease, and cardiac manifestations of systemic diseases.
Outside of work, Dr. Boyd is an avid runner and cyclist. He also enjoys kayaking, hiking, and fishing. When the weather takes a turn for the worse, however, he prefers to spend time indoors watching TV shows with his cat, Marta. Dr. Boyd is excited to be back east and looks forward to living and working in the Virginia area as he completes his residency with CVCA. He will be working primarily at CVCA Vienna inside Hope Advanced Veterinary Center.
