Dr. Adkins and Valerie from our caring veterinary team make time to provide much-needed eye care for the Service Dogs of Virginia.
May 30th, 2025 marked the conclusion of National Service Dog Eye Examination Month.
Staff member Valerie Lackey, along with Dr. Adkins, a board-certified ophthalmologist from our team here at Hope Advanced Veterinary Center, donated several hours of their time to the Service Dogs of Virginia in Charlottesville.
They measured each dog's eye pressure and dilated their eyes to assess the health of the back of the eye.
Our team would like to extend a thank you to Dr. Adkins and Valerie for the time they've taken to provide this invaluable service to the hard-working dogs of Virginia.
