
Emily Durocher
DVM, Resident in Surgery
Dr. Durocher is a native of South Carolina. She completed her undergraduate training at Columbia College in South Carolina. She then attended the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2023. After veterinary school, Dr. Durocher completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Michigan State University, where she was honored as the 2024 Intern of the Year for Excellence in Teaching. Following that, she pursued consecutive specialty internships in small animal surgery at Nashville Veterinary Specialists and Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists.
Her professional interests encompass soft tissue surgery, minimally invasive procedures, wound management, surgical oncology, and the advancement of evidence-based surgical techniques. She is dedicated to delivering compassionate, personalized care and while partnering closely with pet owners to help them make informed choices for their companions.
Outside the hospital, Dr. Durocher enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and paddleboarding. She is an accomplished cellist with nearly two decades of musical experience and also enjoys crocheting, watercolor painting, and various other creative pursuits.
