Javier Avendano
DVM, Resident in Surgery
Dr. Javier Avendano was born in Santiago, Chile and raised in Plymouth, Minnesota. He attended University of Minnesota for his bachelors degree where he received his B.A. in Biology, Society and Environment.
For veterinary school, Javier attended St. George’s University School of Veterinarian Medicine, Grenada, West Indies. He completed a rotating internship at Mississippi State University and a surgical internship at VCA Hollywood in Florida.
While Dr. Avendano enjoys all aspects of surgery, he has a special interest in orthopedic surgery. When not working, Dr. Avendano enjoys spending time outside! Hunting, fishing, camping, hiking and relaxing at home are top of his list for entertainment. Dr. Avendano has one dog, Jinx and one cat, Choo.
