This May, the team at Hope Advanced Veterinary Center was proud to once again support National Service Dog Eye Examination Month, an annual initiative dedicated to protecting the vision and eye health of service and working dogs.
As part of the ACVO Service Animal Volunteer Eye Screening Event, Dr. Elizabeth Adkins, board-certified veterinary ophthalmologist, provided complimentary ocular screenings at Service Dogs of Virginia in Charlottesville. She was joined by Dr. Kate Keenen, Ben Crane from the ophthalmology department, and Nursing Director Shaukat Amin, who helped make this year's event a success.
These screenings occur annually during the ACVO-Service Animal Volunteer Eye Screening event at Service Dogs of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia.
